Who Revived the Electric Car???
Big news today for North Carolina. Governor Mike Easley stated this morning:
The state, N.C. State University and North Carolina's two largest electric utilities will join to create a plug-in car research hub on Centennial Campus in Raleigh, Gov. Mike Easley said Tuesday.Jerry and I watched the movie, Who Killed the Electric Car? a couple years ago and were really impressed with the technology and innovation of these vehicles. The were completely removed from society and recalled due to "cost restraints" and "low demand", which is of course, debatable.
Well, it looks like we'll be getting our own electric cars within a few years. Even Progress Energy is on board to create charging stations. Though we always need to look for new and better technology, I think this is an excellent step in the right direction of reducing our need for oil. I hope to be zipping around in no time!

unfortunately, creating electricity required burning coal (since wind and waterfalls aren't quite potent enough in this area). so much for clean fuel and conserving natural resources.
yeah there's that...I still think it's a step in the right direction, but we'll have to wait and see!
Kai keeps telling he's going to buy one! He's quite 'green'! In fact he has a t-shirt that says 'Homework kills Trees! Stop the madness!' LOL!
Everyone knows the Stonecutters put down the Electric Car.
